I like to take pictures of everything and anything but I have a particular fondness for taking street photos...the unposed shot. The one's where people don't know you're taking their photo. Well, the old fellah in picture number two clocked me, but I don't think he realised what I was doing! I've developed a kind of sneaky way of taking people's photo's but I think, in this day and age, you kind of have to.
Back in the day, people were generally ok with having their picture taken and would sometimes pose and muck about with you. But the society we live in nowadays seems to take itself far too seriously people get grumpy more easily.
And whatever you do....don't try and take a photo of a child in a public place!! That's akin to being the Devil incarnate these days. Don't even take any of your own kids without written permission in triplicate from the paedophile police. God forbid you turn up with a camera at your child's school play. You'll be lucky to get out without having your collar felt by the police. You couldn't make it up!
Anyway, here's a few I took....before I went to prison!!

I took this in Highgate Cemetery because it amused me. Why? Well, first of all it's odd. Definitely odd. And it got me to thinking... Who has that sort of gravestone? Why have this made? What does it mean? I ruminated on it for a while until my head hurt (didn't take too long) and then suddenly I got it! Can you? It's a 'say what you see' kind of thing......getting it? No? Stone dead! Brilliant!!! What a fantastic sense of humour someone had.
I take my hat off to you....

The weather here in the UK is rarely good and we do get more than our fair share of God's tears and, whilst waiting in my car for a friend during another downpour I was fascinated by the way the water on my windscreen smeared the colours from the passing cars.
Now, I said in an earlier post that pictures are everywhere if we but look.
I must have sat in my car hundreds of times before and seen such things but never took the opportunity to photograph them. What a waste! You may not particularly like the images but I include them to show you that pictures are all around, wherever we are, whatever we're doing. We photographer types should never get bored.
Learn to see the world. Look around you and, for crying out loud, carry a camera!!
